Not crazy about bringing Hosmer over but the ability to pry Hassell may be worth it. Not sure a Dalbec would need to go the other way but I needed a higher value player going to Padres for it it be accepted. Dalbec may be what he is and may not be a big loss. Who knows. It’s early and he can get hot but geesh I am already sick of seeing him come to the plate and Hosmer would be better than Shaw.
Not crazy about getting the current batting champion and one of the top prospects in baseball for a strikeout machine. huh
And how long do you think hosmer is going to be leading the NL in hitting? 😂 and the whole purpose of taking on his contract would be to get Hassell and the point of the trade. Hosmer is no longer even an above average defender anymore so you have to be comfortable even taking on his subsidized contract no?
Padres aren’t trading hassell unless for big time outfield help. Why would they give up arguably their most productive hitter? even if he cools off he’s showing no signs of slowing and Hassell is looking like a top 10 prospect in baseball. That is not worth bobby dalbec. I’ll make a return proposal: https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/trades/trade-80305/
