Brewers get to help prevent Soto from ending up with their division rival [Cardinals] and they get Cronenworth who they’ve reportedly discussed in previous trade discussions with the Padres.
I’d also like Cronenworth at 2B for the next 3+ years for the Brewers but I don’t think the Brew Crew will trade Ashby after signing him to a team friendly 5-year deal. Possibly other players could be substituted. I definitely like the thought process you put into this trade. It would be a tempting deal for all 3 teams.
