Trout’s back/rib issues will force his move to DH. That’s why the Angels are considering an Ohtani trade.

In return for 1.4 years of Ohtani, the Angels get a superstar prospect, a top 100 prospect, a good relief pitcher capable of throwing two or three innings with a lead, and another above-average bullpen arm.

The Red Sox suddenly emerge as a possible 2022 contender and a strong 2023 contender. Also, if Ohtani likes Boston, he might sign for another several years.
