Welcome to the one day a year where the same trade gets posted a dozen times by a dozen different people.

I like the deal for all parties 👍

I think it should be noted that this is the Cubs big return for their offseason plan. Remember “intelligent spending.” They sign Miley, Smyly, Simmons, Villar, Givens, Robertson, Frazier, Martin, etc., not to mention Suzuki and Stroman, with the idea of flipping them for prospects at the trade deadline, if they’re not in the race.. Over $30 mil., about what the Twins spent for 1 year of Correa, which got them back in the pennant race. The Cubs never were in the race after the second week of the season. I like this deal, too, but overall the Cubs get an F- minus for their offseason, amateur draft, and deadline transactions. Mr. Ricketts, if you’re reading this, fire Jed Hoyer!
