I think if the Jays are moving their two biggest chips, they’ll probably want a bit more certainty in return. Cotton and Mengden have plenty of upside, but the former still hasn’t thrown a major league pitch in over a year and the latter hasn’t pitched well in 2019. I’d expect teams to value both pitchers near the low end of their value range. The Blue Jays would probably have more interest in a guy like Jefferies, or maybe Dunshee.

I agree, the package the A’s would have to give up for Stroman and Giles would look something like: Holmes, Jeffries, Beck, and another prospect.
