This is the kind of win now trade the Rays should consider. Lowe is seemingly on the outs with the Rays, so it makes sense to move him while he still has value. Adam has pitched great this year but the Rays always seem to find new relievers each year. If he really has trade value of $21MM, then moving him makes sense. Williams is the hardest call because he’s a great defender and has a good bat. That bat has too much swing and miss in it but he’s also still a teenager with a lot of time to improve. Replace Williams with 2 lesser prospects and I think this trade absolutely works for the Rays.
