Brewers just laugh and say no. They are giving up way, way too much for one year of Bichette. Milwaukee has no chance at re-signing him, so he’d be gone in 2024, just like Adames. This is a very easy no thanks from the Brewers.

What are you talking about “one year”?! I’m not sure what source you pulled that from, but for what it’s worth, Bo’s not gonna be a free agent until 2026, and I would not rule out the potential of the Brewers resigning him if they do trade for him. Besides, if not now, they’ll still have plenty of time in that span to do it. I

johnbitzer and Drew2000: Sorry, I should have made my point clearer. What I am saying is that if Milwaukee is trading Adames with two years of control because they know they won’t be able to afford him and to get his max value, they would do the same thing with Bichette who would be even more expensive than Adames. Therefore he would play for the Brewers for one year (have two years of control remaining just like Adames) and they would trade him to get his max value because Milwaukee simply can’t afford to re-sign him with the monstrous contracts top shortstops are getting now days.
