    I don’t think this trade makes too much sense for the Astros. I agree they need an good hitting catcher but Diaz can be that as soon as this year. They also love how Martin Maldonado works with the pitching staff. They like Meyers, he was just hurt last year, even if McCormick took the starting job. Uriquidy is solid depth or 4-5 in the rotation. I just don’t think they would do this.

      From the Jays side it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense either. Jansen is going to be getting the bulk of catching duties I think so Varsho would have to come in from the OF to catch. Meyers would be a nice 4th OF but he’s not a starter. Uriquidy is a nice 4 or 5 as you say but the Jays are quite full of pitching now. When Ryu and Green come off the IL, some talent is going to get shed off the 40 man.
