Cleveland moves Giminez to SS as pundits have predicted. Lux takes 2B and middle infield is set and young.
Am aware Cleveland has plethora of prospects at SS, 2B. League is littered with prospects turned suspects.

Dodgers insert Rosario at SS and adds young LHP Allen, who seems ready to ascend. LA is looking LHP for 2023, likely 2024.
LA improves defense slightly at SS. Lux is better at 2B
Rosario also brings professional attitude, work ethic as valuable intangible to LA, which lost some leadership guys.

Probably no go as spring training has started. Teams will likely wait it out to see what happens in camp.

If you know Cleveland has a plethora of middle infield prospects (some will be suspects).. why offer one???

Think more about what the Guardians are in need of.. This deal clearly doesn’t do that..

I would prefer the ‘bird in the hand’ so therefore Lux-Giminez combo.
Will adjust later if a prospect forces issue. So far, nada , except possible utility guys.

What do they need ? OF ,sure but they will wait to see Kwan, Gonzalez repeat. They are confident in Straw (plus comittment), and Brennan is another prospect that seems to be MLB calibre-ready. Valero (injured) is OF of future but where / until they see.

They need LHP and I propose trading one!? That’s clearly bass-akwards but Landians are keen on Williams, Bibby, Espino to be MLB pitchers in ??2024. So make a move to settle one issue. Rosario is not being signed in Cleveland 2024. if he is, these prospects are suspects anyway.
Including Pilkington instead won’t get Lux back. Allen fits the deal.

    It’s okay not to bite.
But don’t think there is no method to the madness. or vice-versa

Thanks for explaining yourself WC. The idea in general is a good one, but the problem is Lux’s left-handedness. I’ve mentioned Cleveland trading for Rengifo here numerous times and for good reason. He just fits better and mashed LHP. I’m all in with trading Allen and Rosario to the Dodgers, but I’d like a different return. I’ll look into it.

No problem either with trading Logan Allen/Amed Rosario.. but not for Lux.. Replace him with something/someone the Guardians would make a deal.. Explaining why Pilkington won’t work.. doesn’t help…

Great explanation! The detail in your response is so informative. You clearly have a gift.
