LAD: THE best shortstop that has even a remote chance of being moved, Adames would fill the offensive hole left by Lux’s season ending injury and then some. Lux I believe is more of a natural second baseman, and should play there. The Dodgers have so much versitality they can make everything work. Adames is a very valuable player and would love to resign with the Dodgers. The benefits of trading for Adames are high both in the short and long term, and therefore should be willing to pay the price. The Dodgers have all the resources to get a good trade done, It all hinges on Adames’ availability in trade talks.

MIL: One of best trade chips they have, the Brewers may not trade anyone at all. But hypothetically, if Adames were to be traded, the Dodgers are a great partner. Max Muncy took a step back and has a decent sized contract, which the money could help with. But he plays the right side of the infield and signals that the Brewers could trade Adames and still contend or make a convincing push. Muncy also could mentor the young promising infielders that will be knocking on the MLB door soon. Pepiot is a hot prospect. Already making the majors, Pepiot is ranked #70 in the top 100 by MLB Pipeline. Personally I have him rated as #79 and #6 in the Dodgers system. MLB LAD system rankings have not come out. Nick Frasso and Nick Nastrini are prospects with rising stocks, and I have them ranked #8 and #10 resepctivley in the LAD system. So based on my lists, MIL would nab Muncy, and the #6,#8, and #10 LAD prospects.

Both Frasso and Nastrini have barely seen AA. Neither is going to help in 2023 and who knows about 2024. Pepiot would help, but he would be a pen guy for Milwaukee. Muncy’s near $22M contract (after subtracting $5M cash) is a problem based on his production last year. This might depend on which Muncy the Brewers thought they were getting. If it’s the 2022 version it would be a big no thanks. If the Brewers were happy with Muncy, to complete the deal the Dodgers would keep Frasso/Nastrini/cash and swap in Stone. After losing Lux the Dodgers would have to pay to get Adames and get Milwaukee to add salary.

Stone played mostly a ball last year. He’s farther away than nastrini and frasso. It’s more likely a successful fast track could be pulled off with either of the two included in this deal, as opposed to stone. Stone has way more upside but nastrini and frasso help sooner

Last year Stone reached AAA and did very well (6 games) in the hitters paradise PCL league. He pitched more than twice as many innings in triple A than Frasso did in double A. He pitched more innings in AA than Frasso and Nastrini combined. I see him as a lot closer to MLB than either of the other two. I think you are correct when you say he has more upside. That’s why Milwaukee would want him over the other two.

apologies you are right stone reached higher level last year compared to the other two.

Either of our prospect packages I would think would work, so of course as you mentioned it all depends on what the Brewers think of Muncy. Maybe they would like someone more like Chris Taylor better. I think they go after versitality with the major leaguer
