Cleveland has stated that they are not trading Bieber. This offer will not get them to change their mind. Easy no from the Guardians.

Let’s pretend for a second that Bieber was available to open up a discussion about this proposal. Even then Cleveland has no need for Casas who is the largest portion of value in this deal by far. The Red Sox don’t have the assets to acquire Bieber if he were available. Sucks for Boston fans I’m sure, but it is what it is.

I was thinking the same. Playing around on here you really start scouring prospects. Boston is in real trouble. Their major league team looks bad and I don’t see much in their minor league system either. When I think of a trade (especially trading high caliber players) my first look is to the Dodgers, then St. Louis, LAA, maybe Milwaukee. Boston, no.

Kind of sad really to see the condition of their system. They can probably carry a $300M payroll, but it still isn’t good.
