Looks good MP. I still think Vidal can breakout given consistent AB’s. Kowar’s numbers make me think of Patino.

The Patino comparison scares me, but I think this is a typical Rays trade. They trade for two players, one is a decent bet to provide reasonable value at a position of need and the other is a high upside player they think they can fix. If Kowar works out, it’s a home run trade. If he doesn’t work out, the Rays still shore up their Pen with Staumont. The cost is a former top 25 prospect who hasn’t reached his potential and is absolutely blocked in Tampa.

It would be a typical Rays trade. I still check the Durham box scores often hoping Patino will break out. Kowar surprises me in that he was a high draft pick and even his minor league numbers aren’t very good. Maybe Snyder could work his magic with him.
