Glammer this is closer to what Cleveland would want… Another player, like Tena, PTBNL etc would be likely going back to New York, but IF Bieber was available, this would be the bare minimum they would want since Mauricio would be moved away from the MIF cause he lacks the defensive prowess there… If they feel he could convert to 1B/RF then they would trade for him. If they feel he cannot then it completely nullifies this trade…Mets would have what it takes to get Bieber if they feel he couldn’t play in the OF…
Mauricio has not outfield in the minors. Who knows whether he could play it. Rosario who is a good athlete could not. Having him learn a new position while transitioning to the majors is failure waiting to happen. If we trade Bieber, I don’t want it to be for an experiment. If that experiment fails, we have more duplication and still needs not filled.
I get you 100% there! I don’t see the Mets being a good match for a deal for Bieber… There is a lot of IFs and I don’t see the FO going for so many IFs…
Ps. For people from Cleveland’s perspective, Mauricio would be moved off of MIF and to 1B/RF… There is no room for him at any of the MIF positions…
