For Marlins fans you have Cueto, Rogers & Meyer who getting close to being back healthy. You get a CF in Carlson, Baker is your better Cooper for next year who’s blocked in STL. Herrera takes over backup finally DFA stallings. It doesn’t have to be Puk it could be Scott but Marlins give cardinals a quality Lefty in the pen. The pick is only in the trade to make it valid.
For Cardinal fans you get a 1-2 starter with strikeout stuff & make the Bullpen better. McIntosh is an add could be a different add. I know losing Herrera & Baker sucks but face it, cardinals will play Knizner for 3 more years no matter how bad he is & they have Goldy at first with 3 guys who’d fill in for him in Donovan/Burly/Yepez.
For a Cardinals fan you got a lot of assumptions going on.Cueto was just put on
60 IL.Meyers not yet recovered from ACL.Neither one yet can get by medical.
This looks like it should Luzardo & Puk for Carlson, get rid of everything else
