The absolute last thing Milwaukee would want is another prospect OF in any trade. The Brewers need to get pitching for Burnes, not position players only.

My fellow Brewer fans have been saying the same thing for a long time: Brewers don’t need another outfielder. I suspect the Brewer front office didn’t agree. Since 6/24/23 the Brewers have added Raimel Tapia, Jahmai Jones, Mark Canha, Chris Roller and Greg Allen, all outfielders. Maybe finally, the Brewers really don’t need more outfielders. However, I think it’s a popular opinion that Burnes is not going to sign an extension with Milwaukee. If the Yankees would offer a talent like Jason Dominguez to the Brewers in a Burnes trade I believe Milwaukee would be happy to make that trade. Getting that talent for 6 or 7 years with most years at a very low cost would be a great return. Yes, Milwaukee would still be looking for pitching but I suspect they could get pitching from the OF surplus.
