Padres consolidate their prospect depth into the offensive-minded catcher they seek along with a center fielder. The Pirates get the catching prospect they seek along with a bunch of depth with some upside. Cubs get a relatively cheap back-end starter with upside in Archer (may improve with a change in pitch mix) plus a versatile left handed bat to possibly split time with Nico Hoerner at second base. They also get a lottery ticket arm with a reputation for strong TrackMan performances.
