I think the Brewers say no unless they are convinced that Bohm will be their 3B of the future starting in 2021. Eflin is currently a middle of the rotation pitcher and the Brewers have a good supply of those and Dominguez is a nice bullpen piece but the combination of the 3 players does not help Milwaukee enough to give up Hader. Then of course you have the problem of trading between 2 potential playoff teams and I think Hader gives the Phillies more immediate help for 2020. This isn’t a bad offer by any means but I think the Brewers would want more in a Hader trade and prefer to trade with an American League team if possible.

I like this one for the Brewers. It checks a bunch of boxes for them, and there’s a case to be made that Hader is a ticking time bomb. It’s also sufficiently painful from the Phillies side.
