  1. For the 101st time the Indians are not rebuilding for 2020. They are also not trading Clevinger.

You must not follow baseball very much. The Indians will trade Lindor at the latest by the trade deadline this year for top prospects. They have also listened to offers for Clevinger. They are one offer away from a “retooling.” They will still have enough talent to be good and the prospects will be good enough to contribute soon but moves are definitely coming. This is how Cleveland operates. When a player gets close to getting a payday, they get traded.

Please don’t call people names here. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and I know sometimes those opinions are strong ones, which is fine. But let’s not resort to personal attacks please.

Kind of baffled as to what the Rockies motivation is here? The Braves get 2 elite players right now, the Indians get a ton of prospects, but the Rockies lose two of their best young players for the future and their best current player, to get a couple of players to compete in the next 2-3 years? Doesn’t make any sense.

  3. Sir, I have been following baseball and the Indians since 1965 so I do know a lot of baseball and how the Indians operate. If you would do your homework, you would see that their plan is to contend in 2020. Teams continue to ask on Lindor and Clevinger. They will only be traded if they get a package that can help in 2020 and beyond. Also look in the past if you want, the Indians have kept Jim Thome, Albert Belle, Manny Ramirez, Carlos Santana, and Michael Brantley right up to their free agency. Yes, I wish that Dolan would provide the Indians front office a higher budget to operate with, but the Indians front office is known as one of the best in baseball. I am glad that they are running the Indians rather than you. We would finish in last place based on some of your trades.
