Dodgers say no to this, but thought I would post it. No worse then some of the other trades I see with the Reds.

The Dodgers would not make Gavin Lux available in a Lindor trade. They certainly are not using him to get rid of bad contracts.

Or course no, I was just putting this down here, because of all the suggestions of trading Bauer for a bunch on mid level prospects.

I think this is one weakness of this site. You can add a bunch of negative value players to make an unrealistic trade fit. The idea that the Dodgers would give up Lux for salary relief is nuts. I’m not criticizing the site because it is a fun exercise. I’m just pointing out that some of these trade proposals are beyond unrealistic.

Hi Jon, thanks for the feedback. We see that pattern as well. Because it’s all based on surplus value, these types of proposals can happen. Most of our users understand that there’s more context needed for trades, including budget and roster management. We’re working on future enhancements that consider those aspects to make it more realistic for situations like these.

Of course, I even started out by saying the Dodgers say no to this trade.
I seen so many others where the Reds give up Bauer for a bunch of mid-level prospects, so I trying to have a little fun here.
No one should take most of these trade too seriously. Not until the trade deadline at least.
