A Hypothetical Trade: Trying to recreate the Gomez trade in 2015 with current teams and players. In this case, it’s the Red Sox trying to sell pieces for the future and Padres trying to gear up for a playoff push.

Padres get Eduardo Rodriguez to add to their rotation, as well as Bradley Jr. to be a very great defensive platoon in center with Juan Lagares.

Red Sox get Grisham to go along with Verdugo in the new Red Sox OF, while getting Quantrill as a potentially exciting rotation piece going forward. Brash and Harris are also added to make it similar to the Gomez trade of 2015.
