    50 games is not a season. Twins get their shot at a *Championship but it’ll cost them.

    • The A’s also have a shot at a *Championship so it is not likely that they would do this.

    I see no scenario when this happens. The Twins would be gutting their farm system in return for an OF when they already have a set OF with some good backups and prospects to look forward to, a SP when one of their good assets as a team is the rotation, and a SS even though they have Jorge Polanco until 2023 and possibly even to 2025. The Athletics would also be losing a lot of good pieces for now and the future in return for 3 pitching prospects even though they also have a good rotation for the future. No team wins in this trade, if anything both lose.
