If the Brewers do trade Hader this off season I’m sure this is the return they would like to get. However, I’m sure the Mets say no on this deal. It could be a good starting point on further discussions.

I think both Davis and Smith are targets the Brewers would be interested in acquiring. I’d be a little surprised if the Mets would prioritize acquiring a reliever of Hader’s ilk.

The part that I am guessing a lot of people are looking past here is OF Hedbert Perez. He has a very good chance to be the Brewers top overall prospect by this time next year. He was the youngest player (17) to be included among anyone’s 60-man player pool this past year. He’s the first prospect the Brewers have had in awhile that appears to have the raw talent to develop into a top ten prospect in baseball. I understand why his value is listed as low as it is currently, but I would guess the Brewers value him much more highly than this current listing.

On that note the Mets probably value Smith a lot more highly than his current listing too. I mean he’s got a shot at the Hank Aaron award. He’s coming off an insane 2020 season at the plate. I don’t know if the Mets would trade Smith or not but I bet they would expect something very big in return.

The Mets have tried trading a promising young hitter for a dominant bullpen arm.

Given how that panned out, I can’t see them being eager to line up for a second helping.
