This is a trade I feel like both fanbases would hate. I am posting it knowing it’s likely to get crushed. As a Brewers fan I would have a hard time stomaching it even for an elite player in Ramirez. I’m trying to figure out if there is any feasible combination of players the Brewers and Indians could match-up on that make sense for both sides? I feel like the answer is probably no, unfortunately.

Try trade number 40489 as a possible example of a deal that results in Jose Ramirez in Milwaukee..

  2. Big Bat

In order for Ramirez to get dealt now it would require an absolute haul. I don’t think the Brewers can do that and if they could it would not be beneficial to them IMO.

I think if the Brewers want Ramirez, the Indians would have to start with Mitchell and go from there. I think Hiura should go to the American League and if the Indians believe in his bat they have 5 years of control for a possible all star. I don’t know what the Indians have for catching prospects but they would be getting a good one in Feliciano. Would the Brewers make this trade? I think they would. The Indians may want another low level prospect or two to make it happen. I guess the Indians would compare this deal with others they’d receive from other teams. I would suspect they could do better, depending on their evaluation of the Brewer players they’d be getting. All in all, this is a good trade proposal that would keep both teams in a conversation for a possible trade.

Brewers would jump on this but doubt Indians would want two prospects and Hiura can hit but where does he play, not 2B, maybe OF?

I think Hiura’s future is going to be at DH, no matter which team he plays for assuming of course the NL has DH in 2022 after a new CBA is signed. DH spot still debatable for 2021 in NL.
