The Dodgers’ return may look underwhelming, but hear me out.

Seager is for Story. Now, the thing is, the Rox don’t want to pay star players (see: Arenado) and both are on expiring contracts. Seager also might price himself out of the budget due to the Coors effect.

Charlie Blackmon is basically a salary dump; however, AJ Pollock and Joe Kelly give back some relief.

Now, it’s basically Marquez (who will improve out of Colorado) for Urias (who might decline), Pages, and Amaya.

I feel like the upside of this singular deal offsets the risk of Seager re-signing (meaning the Rox get a better-than-Story Story replacement) and Blackmon being a dead weight.

    Thoughts?

Not bad. But the Dodgers don’t need another starting pitcher at all. I would rather not recieve Marquez, and keep Urias. Rockies can give us Veen and another prospect.
