    Down vote for Oakland.

    It would be a mistake for the A’s to waste trade value in an effort to clear Piscotty’s contract off the books. It’s 1 year/$8.25 MM to go; they should just take the pain in a step-back year. The only real value return is Paddack, who is trying to rest/rehab a UCL strain. Knowing the A’s luck, he’ll need surgery if they agree to trade for him.
