As a yankees fan, Ik its alot but if we want a good first baseman we either need to sign bell/resign Rizzo or trade for Olsen, which will take a lot. My list of in what order they should go for them is.

    1. Olsen
    2. Bell
    then
    3. Rizzo

As an A’s fan this deal doesn’t make a lot of sense for Oakland.

They don’t need Voit, simple as that. An arm like Waldichuk at the same Trade Value would make a lot more sense. The Yankees are convinced that Wells can stick at Catcher and I doubt Oakland would feel the same way. I think he ends up at 1B unless his arm bounces back to make LF an option and once that shift happens and C is no longer listed above as his Primary position his TV will drop a fair amount. Which makes Schmidt the second best piece in the deal and he’s had a long track record of not staying healthy.

      Down vote.
