The Reds seem intent on slashing payroll this offseason. If this is the case, the Nats could take the rest of the guaranteed money Suárez is owed through 2024 (just under $36m). They have a hole at third unless they want to give Carter Kieboom one last shot. To incentivize the Nats to take Suárez’s contract, the Reds offload Nick Senzel and a decent upper-level SP prospect in Graham Ashcraft. Senzel could use a change of scenery. The Reds would get back Tres Barrera to serve as their backup catcher or as organizational depth at the position considering they just traded Tucker Barnhart.

This would be a steal for the Nats.
I really expect Suarez to rebound this year.
    No stupid moves like SS.
In Sep he started to return to himself.
