Chourio has the potential to be a decent SS or a good 3B with an elite arm. He could also be a COF if that doesn’t work out. Rays love that kind of versatility. Even though he’s years away, I like him as the headliner for Meadows.

I don’t like trading Poche at basically no value after keeping him on the 40 man for the past year while he recovered from TJS. That makes no sense to me. I also don’t like Fernandez and really don’t like Cantrelle considering his cost (I don’t like no-bat defensive players, but the Rays draft defensive SS all the time (e.g., A.Williams)).

So I would reform this trade to take out Poche, Cantrelle, and Fernandez and maybe add a different reliever from the Rays and a different prospect or MLB player from the Brewers. Ethan Small would be someone the Rays should want in particular.
