Athletics cut payroll and get a blue chip prospect back. Mets get a SP to round out their rotation and fortify their minor leagues a bit. Brewers enhance their rotation, improve 1B, and add a veteran OF while not adding a ton of salary and while not giving up any of their major bullpen pieces or blue chip prospects.

    Down vote for Oakland.

The A’s aren’t in a position where they can trade 3 valuable pitchers and only get, in essence, 1 prospect in return. Whether or not they attach Piscotty, they need to get a mix of quantity and quality.

Mauricio isn’t worth two of the A’s starters when they have Olympic SS Nick Allen, who already hits better, and ABSOLUTELY fields better, but has less power.

    Upgrade not worth it.
