Braves fan here, and I up-vote this.

Hendricks at 2 years for $19MM, then a $1.5MM buyout or $16MM club option in ’24, and all I have to give up is Tucker Davidson? The other pieces are ancillary IMO. Newcomb and Touki are potential DFAs, and Wright is an enigma who could be good or a pumpkin. 2-3 years of Hendricks at reasonable pricing significantly stretches the depth of SP in our open window of contention without precluding the ability to resign Freeman or pick up Olson, if Freddie walks.

And Wieck is the wild card. If healthy, he could be a big plus in Braves bullpen. All 4 pitchers coming from Atlanta make starts for Cubs. Maybe Davidson (if healthy) and Wright claim permanent spots in the rotation. Other two go to bullpen. If I’m Cubs, I’m still dumping veterans and salary, while trying to get some kind of return. 2022 team will be lucky to finish third in their Division.
