I like the Rays as a spot for Puig, but I don’t think they’re moving Meadows any time soon. Internally, we might need to make an adjustment to Garrett’s value – he’s been great this season, but I think that number’s a bit too high given his track record.
Fair enough! I’m also curious why Luis Castillo is valued where he is. It seems like a budding ace with years of control should be valued higher.
Definitely a fair question – Castillo is excellent, honestly one of my favorite pitchers in the game. But his success came kind of out of nowhere. He was never a can’t-miss prospect, and he’s never been dominant like this before, so his track record is holding him back. But if he continues to pitch this well, his value will go higher and higher with each update!
