The Brewers chuckle at the joke and say no thanks. Milwaukee isn’t going to just give away a TOR SP and one of the best relievers in the game for such a terrible return.
When someone posts the same thing SIX TIMES in a row it’s probably a call for help. Why else would someone do that?
If the Brewers are pairing their best asset in Burnes to their largest payroll liability in Yelich then they too are in a very unhappy mindset. Taking on Josh Donaldson isn’t a healthy idea, no matter what though. I’m also not trusting in Hick’s ability to stay on the field and produce. There was a good reason the Yankees thought that maybe adding Ender Inciarte last year would be good for them.
Donaldson’s 37, costs a bunch, and had a really bad year in 2022. The Brewers just signed a former Yankees player who’s been a bit disappointing (albeit to a minor league deal). Why add Donaldson? How does this trade fit with anything they’re doing, even if Donaldson’s able to get back to being a 3+ WAR player?
I like the Yankees too and I surmise that they’re your team, AC153. When your team’s quite comfortable with the likes of Giancarlo Stanton why not double-down on the NL-version with Christian Yelich? Burnes & Cole = Doomhammer. I think that’s awesome. But posting the same thing six times isn’t awesome. I understanding how frustrating it can be to see your team keep going to the postseason year and year and fail but mimicking that same strategy in posting the same thing over and over again isn’t good. Learn to be patient young grasshopper.
jmont1 noted that the Brewers chuckle at the joke and I hope we get a few more chuckles.
I literally dont think I’ve ever gotten a comment on a trade before, so it’s cool to discover that’s a feature on here. Obviously had a Wi-Fi related issue (couldn’t tell if page was loading, clicked button again, couldn’t tell if page was loading, clicked again, etc.), wasn’t trying to spam the same trade
