A solid trade. The Dodgers must have called about Rosario, right? I’m confused why he isn’t being traded for something. Cleveland has too many MIF’ers to play and yet they still won’t trade him. He likely isn’t extended, won’t get a QO, so walks for nothing. If I’m the Dodgers Rosario would be the guy I want. They already exceeded the cap. He solves their problem (I mean, Taylor part time at SS, really?). Makes sense for both teams.

From what I can guess/gathered from the rumors, Rosario is badly overrated on here and teams aren’t offering anything that would make sense for Cleveland in 23 at all…

More than likely teams are only offering guys that aren’t near MLB ready/guys that make sense for Cleveland in 23. Aka why I am targeting a Ferguson especially after the Hentges injury since Cleveland isn’t very deep in left handed pitching. My guess is Dodgers are countering with just Knack and a lotto prospect at best.

Now it’s just a guess, but they aren’t going to move Rosario for what some people would call “scraps”. He’s got great intangibles and one of two players with more than 3 year of MLB experience in Cleveland’s organization before the Bell and Zunino signs. They honestly feel like, it’s better to keep the intangibles and leadership over getting “scraps”.

That makes more sense. I have respect for the Dodger organization, so it’s not my call to say they are wrong. I’m sure they run their numbers and still come up with 95 wins, so figure the playoffs are likely as is. I’ve never disliked Rosario as a player, but have always preferred Gimenez at SS, which makes Rosario expendable. I guess it depends on who those “scraps” are Cleveland would get back in return, but yes, likely the reason he’s not been traded.

Rosario’s status on the Guardians’ roster has nothing to do with him and everything to do with the unproven prospects/players. If I could get Knack for Rosario in a 1:1 deal I’d do it. Knack is no “scrap” and I doubt the Dodgers would give him up for Rosario. The entire “intangibles” discussion is of no relevance.

As of the beginning of ST there had been no mention of extending Rosario and I doubt any talks have taken place since. He’s not going to be a Guardians in the near future. When exactly that will happen is hard to predict. Someone could come calling before ST is over, at the deadline or anywhere in between.

Rosario is likely finishing the season in Cleveland!

Based on what historical fact? Is that how Cleveland has typically operated? Do you have examples? I already know the answer to those questions, but go ahead and give your frivolous answers so we can all be enlightened.

As a Guardians fan I’d be all over this. I don’t see how the Guards could turn this down. Ball would be in Dodgers court.

You and me both would be all over it. However, the Dodgers would quickly decline I’m afraid. If I were them I wouldn’t give Pepiot alone for this package from Cleveland let alone add Frasso and Ferguson. I would love to be wrong about that, but I’m fairly certain that I’m not.
