  1. Pete Peterson

Minor leaguer for three MLB players. If he that good, why not a MLB player?

If traded at the deadline I think it would be (2) 32yr old MLB players each becoming free agents at the end of the season plus $1m in cash to a contending team needing DH help (and what contender couldn’t use bullpen help), for a 22yr old 3B prospect in A ball to a team needing young talent. I admit loosing Cooper and his bat and versatility to play a corner outfield spot as well as 1B & DH is going to hurt but he will be a free agent and the Marlins could re sign him. Of course, the Marlins could just extend Cooper now but I don’t see it happening, do you? I do think Coopers value may be low even for a deadline value with his short term control, his RHB might be in demand and inflate it even further.
