Tweaking the below-linked earlier trade from @evanatkinson, removing Pederson and adding in Kody Hoese:

From a valuation perspective, it’s a slight overpay from LAD, but I think it’s pretty realistic given they are competing with other teams for Merrifield’s services and may need to swap Hoese (12.3) and his power bat in for a similar player like Michael Busch (10.1) to get the deal done.

I like your thought process. Even your Ruiz + Hoese are the best offer for Merrifield I’ve seen.

That being said. Merrifield’s team leadership, his leading both leagues in hits the last two years, and his versatility; I can’t take this trade at this time.

Salvador Perez needs to last through 2021, where does KC play Ruiz?

The only trade I would consider at this time would have to include the Braves’ Waters.
