Variation of an earlier trade I posted.

Dodgers get Jose Ramirez to fill the hole in the infield. JT will probably move to DH, so they will need a third basemen. J-Ram will play 3rd base and let Seager keep playing short (assuming they resign him).

D-Backs get two really good in Brayan Rocchio, and Miguel Vargas. The D-Backs top prospect is Jordan Lawler, but other than him, they don’t have a whole lot of middle infield prospects. Rocchio could be their long term 2B now that Marte is traded away. The D-Backs also do not have any good 1st base prospects (best is seth beer) and Vargas could play 1B long term for the snakes, or be their DH. Also these players will fit into the D-Backs next contention period, where Marte will not, unless they can extend him.

Guardians would get outfield help in the CF Ketel Marte (they could also play him at 2B, but due to their abundance of middle infield prospects, I would guess that they would play him in center. They also get two really good prospects in Diego Cartaya and Bobby Miller. Diego Cartaya could be the Guardians long term catcher, as I’ve heard he is the type of catcher that the Cleveland FO prefers. Bobby Miller has a great arm that would really hurt for the Dodgers to lose, but may be necessary to acquire the MVP caliber player of J-Ram.

    Any thoughts?

This is exactly the kind of deal that everyone looks at… tries to figure out who won.. who lost.. and they conclude..everyone won..

The needs of the DBax are satisfied for the most part.. Brayan Rocchio is a bit unknown.. as is Vargas..but, both can hit.. Rocchio is both an excellent middle infielder.. he’s also an on field leader.. This is a kid that a team can build on.. Vargas comes from Cuba and has a beautiful swing.. very little swing and miss and is just a workaholic.. good player It wouldn’t be a HUGE leap to believe the DBax might get a deep prospect from the Guardians as an overpay.. Example of deep prospects: From the Guardians.. Xzavion Curry..

The Guardians fill three holes in their system..Ketel Marte brings the kind of offensive skills that replaces nearly 90 % of what JRam brought to the table and gives Cleveland one additional year of control.. Bobby Miller is an SP that fits the Cleveland mold to a TEE.. he’s developed into a control and command guy but has the kind of stuff that puts him at or near the front of a Cleveland rotation that is aleady considered exceptional.. He brings six years of control, as well.. Bobby Miller could have a HUGE influence on the Guardians pitching staff through the end of the decade.. and finally, the Guardians get a complete catcher.. A catcher than can hit.. catch.. block.. throw and lead.. This is a huge win for the Guardians..

LAD wants to win now.. JRam helps them to continue their quest.. The Dodgers have the ability to extend and “pay” what JRam is worth.. Guardian fans would wish him well…

This is a good deal on paper..and represents the kind of continued team building the DBax and Guardians need to remain competitive..

    Thanks for posting..
